International School Award - The right to display this logo was given to the school in recognition for recording and evaluating our international work and embedding it into the curriculum and whole school ethos.

The Olympic logo - The right to display this logo was given to the school in recognition of the strong olympic and paralympic values demonstrated by the children here. We also got a visit from Wenlock!

Activ Marc Cymru - Active Marc Cymru is another recognition of the outstanding commitment Herbert Thompson Primary School has to the Health and Fitness of the whole school community. Read the press release here!

Leading Aspect Award - We were awarded this for our work in becoming an 'emotionally literate school' and also for our work with PESS!

NQA Award Presentation
We are so proud to have been awarded the prestigious NQA Award for excellence in health and well being. Councillor Freda Salway kindly visited to present the award to the whole school.

Decades Dress Up day
What a special day we had dressing up in the fashions of either the 20s, 40s, 60s or 80s from Charlie Chaplin to Madonna. We bopped to music of the decades in our spectacular fashion show where we showed off our efforts. We shared our knowledge of the decade with other classes and partied the day away. Children In Need
