*There will be no Breakfast Club this week.

Estyn Inspection Report 2014

Community Litter Pick
Huge thanks to Year 5 children and PC Evans and PC Whitlock who took part in a community litter pick as part of a community project to keep Ely clean. The children were very enthusiastic and managed to collect a lot of litter! Well done all!


World Book Day 2014
Wow! Again, our families do us proud. Thank you for dressing up as your favourite character to mark World Book Day. School uniform tomorrow please! Well done all!

Dydd Gwyl Dewi Sant 2014
Dydd Gwyl Dewi Hapus pawb! What a great day we had at our annual Eisteddfod dressing in traditional costume, performing on stage,taking part in a range of competitions and hearing the winners of a range of competitions. Llongyfarchiadau pawb!

Rock Foundlings Visit!
What a rocking experience we all had this week! Huge thanks to all the members of the rock band, Rock Foundlings from Scotland who visited all week and worked with all Key Stage 2 pupils creating and performing songs. Many thanks to all the parents and families who came to the concert and rapped with Miss Hocking! You rock!

Meet all our members of Criw Gymraeg. Our amazing pupils ensure that we are using Welsh throughout the school and praise and reward pupils for speaking our wonderful language. Ardderchog pawb!

Keith Towler, Children's Commissioner for Wales Visit
Many thanks to Keith Towler, Children's Commissioner for Wales, for taking the time out to visit our school, explain his important role and answer our questions. It has to be said, what amazing questioning skills our children have. Mr Towler was so impressed!

Year 2 Cosmeston Lakes Trip
Our Year 2 pupils had an amazing field trip to Cosmeston Lakes this week. They had a brilliant hands on experience learning all about animals in woodland habitats.

Cardiff County Cross Country
Year 5 and 6 had an amazing experience competing in the Cardiff County cross country competition at Leckwith Stadium. We are very proud for their efforts!!

Year 5 Extreme Sports!
Year 5 pupils had an amazing day at Cardiff International White Water Centre in The Bay. Much fun was had by all, even if they did get rather wet!

Ely Football Festival 2013
